Step 3: What kind of study is it?

If you are dealing with a study, you first need to determine what type of study it is.
If the study is:
- Based on actual human beings (as opposed to human tissue or cells), go to Step 3.1: Human studies;
- Based on laboratory animals, go to Step 3.2 Animal studies; or
- Neither based on actual human beings or laboratory animals, then go to Step 3.3 In vitro studies.
